Matthew my son came home from school a few weeks ago and when he walked down our street he was assaulted. According to him, he usually takes out his cell phone when he reaches our street to listen to music. He heard footsteps running towards him. When he looked up he saw a boy asking him for the time. So God showed me that He was with my son and he protected Matthew during the assault. I then realised that the injury could have been much worse if God was not with Matthew.

I immediately repented and thanked God and I am now using this incident as an example to others not to question God as He is always with us and will never forsake us even when it seems darkness and trouble surrounds us. He is always faithful.

Over the weekend, Matthew told me that four guys took the jacket of his friend in broad daylight. Life is becoming an uphill battle for everyone living in South Africa and crime is rife. I have now decided to do something about it and help protect my family and myself.
