Jodeé congrats with your baptism last night. There is many milestones in a person’s life, like becoming prefect or first boyfriend, matric, first car, university degree, first job, marriage, kids, etc, but one of the most significant is when you make the decision to give your life to Jesus and when you publicly declare your love for HIM by baptism. When you come out of the water and risen in Jesus it was a new you that stood before God and us. It is so easy as a young lady of 19 to be swallowed up by the world( drugs, sex, smoking, drinking to name but a few) but you have made a bold and wonderful decision that goes against the mainstream and you have withstood peer pressure and that was very mature of you.

You made us so proud and my heart wants to burst with joy. Remember temptation will come, but Jesus has already overcome the world and therefore the victory is yours. So go for it and keep on being different to the world and live a Godly live- Jesus is with you all the time.

Praise Jesus. Jesus is alive in the life of my family. Thank you Lord for being Lord of the life of my family, for providing for us, protecting us and most of all for Loving us. Thanks for excepting Jodeé last night into your arms when she was baptized.

A Big Thank you to my Father and Father-in-Law that are still with us and setting a Godly example. Thank you to my Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandparents on my mother side and Grandparents on my Fathers side, who while they were alive, set such a wonderful biblical example in me and Patricia and live what they preached by always following Jesus. Last night your example and guidance came alive in a tangible way when Jodeé got Baptized. The role you played and are still playing in her life is huge.

When they make such big and significant and mature decisions while they are so young, I cannot but think that apart from the love and guidance from Jesus, this must be because of the role their mother played in their lives. I want to publicly declare that you are wonderful and your love, guidance, teaching, reprimands(ja dit ook) and wisdom is the rock on which our family is build. You keep us together and your loving sacrifices, love and guidance over the years is what is making a success of this family.

Jodeé’s decision to be baptized is another testimony of your love, example, guidance and wisdom. You truly are a Proverbs 31 women. I love you my darling. Thanks for choosing me as a husband 23 years ago. I am truly blessed to be living with a woman such as you. You are my princess forever.
