Author: We are so proud of our son Matthew.
He is the captain of the chearleader team and they won the school spirit cup. He was outstanding.
At first I was horrified when I heard he is the captain of the chearleaders. I was thinking of tootoos and pom-poms, but it is not like that any more.To my relief I found that it is all about dancing, motivating and lifting the spirits of the athletes. The team needs to make up and mix their own music routine, and basically tel a story with their dancing and singing.

I think they should change the name from chear leaders to something else as a lot of boys are involved. Or am I to old school. Any other parents with the same experience?
